Management Methods for Controlling Pollution by Electronic Information Products, otherwise known as China RoHS is a regulation that will be in effect on March 1, 2007. China RoHS consists of two phases
 
  • Phase I labeling requirements - all Electronic Information Products (EIP) must be properly labeled according to the China RoHS standards. Phase I is effective March 1, 2007.
  • Phase II catalog requirements - EIP listed in the China RoHS catalog (which will be a list of specific products or product categories) must comply with China’s substance restrictions as defined in China’s maximum concentration value (MCV) requirements. The implementation dates for Phase II are still to be determined.
